Pretty in PINK
I am not usually one to like pink as a colour but the latest face of Forever 21, Charlotte Free, makes pink look good.
I first thought her look was a tad 'out there' for Forever 21 and my first impression was correct she was previously a Vivienne Westwood model and I can see why, she would isperfect for the quirky Westwood look. This is a total breath of fresh air for Forever 21, she makes the pastel colour trend look less "girly" and adds a punk edge to it. She is one to watch and definitely my new girl crush.

Miss Beau Bangle Spring/Summer 2012 Photo Shoot
Back in February I was asked to participate in a photo shoot for the launch of Miss Beau Bangle's Spring/Summer collection. I was transformed into an AFRICAN QUEEN for the Tribal part of the collection, which is bang on trend for this season. Not only was I one of the models I also styled the shoot.
To tie in with the Tribal theme I decided to stick with warm colours and as part of the outfit I wanted an eye catching patterned piece. I found the perfect fish tail maxi skirt from Forever 21 which I teamed with a maroon body that was from my own wardrobe. I decided my Jeffrey Campbell Litas would be great footwear choice to portray the strong image and African Queen would have. Of course all accessories were from Miss Beau Bangles. The new collection is amazing, very similar to the high street but obviously more unique as it is that Fair Trade edge. My favourite piece has got to be the zebra print candy wrapper clutch bag, it is a MUST SEE, you would never guess it is made from candy wrappers!
Here are the final edits of the shoot:

It was a fantastic experience to see my ideas come alive at the shoot and the final shots to be placed on to Miss Beau Bangle's website, and I cannot wait to explore new opportunities like this in the future.

The Fashion Chameleon
The wonder bag comes with many different designs and colours of inner zip wallets which are slipped inside so it literally goes with EVERYTHING!
What's the catch? Well, there is a slight problem of the price being £405. However it definitely would be a lifetime investment.
The clutch is already favoured by the likes of Olivia Palermo, meaning there is no argument that this is the new handbag to be dancing around on a Saturday night!

LOOKBOOK styling for Miss Beau Bangles
At Uni I am part of a Student Steering Group that works closely with a new ethnic friendly fashion jewellery company - Miss Beau Bangles
The group works on many different aspects of the company from the designing new products, working on the website, marketing, photography of products to styling the accessories into an outfit.
As the company is new they look for the cheapest way possible to promote their business. Today in the fashion world one main way to do this is through LOOKBOOK. Over 1 million people visit this fashion site per month, meaning the looks and styles that are created and shared can be viewed by other fashionistas all over the word.
For the start of 2012 we were asked to choose products from the current Winter collection to accessorise an outfit, then conduct a mini photo shoot and then the photos are uploaded to LookBook for the world to be introduced to Miss Beau Bangles. This also allowed great practice in advance of the group gathering images for the website launch of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
I decided to use the following products:

I decided to use the following products:
Glass Heart Earrings
Embellished Brass Bracelet
Pretty Pastels Bracelet
Long Chain Link and Ribbon
Glass Heart Ring
I think these all hard a real feminine and vintage and I liked how the pastel colours worked together. As soon as I seen them I just KNEW the outfit that I would create.
This is the photo shoot outcome of my final outfit idea:
I decided to add a Sepia and Antique Effect on some of the photos as I think it added to the effect of the look. I think the shoot has a Fairy tale feel to it and it reminds me of the childhood film The Secret Garden.
For this being my first styling and shoot experience I am pretty pleased with the outcome, but there is always room for improvement and I look forward to doing so in the future.
